First-Gen Experience Program

The First-Gen Experience program supports all undergraduate first-generation students through the entirety of their college career. We are committed to supporting student's individual aspirations through peer-coaching, skill-development and community connections. 


Program Elements:
  • Series of workshops that focus on academic confidence, skill building, professional development and wellness
  • Monthly events to strengthen and celebrate the first-gen community
  • Peer Success Coaching for first-year students 
  • Regular communication via Newsletter and Instagram about first-gen resources and upcoming events
  • Technology lending library

Course Registration Prep

Learn strategies for selecting courses, collect registration resources, get refreshed on how to use the system, and chat through some of your common questions to master the art of course registration. FAFSA & Scholarship Workshop

The FAFSA and Scholarship Workshop is designed to assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form accurately and successfully, while also helping them explore scholarship opportunities. This comprehensive workshop will equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the FAFSA application process and the new financial aid portal. Additionally, it will provide valuable guidance on applying for scholarships, ensuring students maximize their financial aid options as they prepare for college. 

First-Gen Share Circle

Join us for a supportive share circle where first-year students can reflect on their first semester on campus. This is a space to share stories of successes, challenges, and moments of feeling overwhelmed.
