The Horns Helping Horns Program is a vital resource for students, made possible through the generosity of various donors, three endowments (Foyt Family Endowment, Shawn and Kara Wells Endowment, and the W. Ralph Canada, Jr. Endowment), and the President’s Office.

Without this financial support, the program’s essential work would not be feasible. Horns Helping Horns offers a wide range of services to help students thrive, including advising and support through semesterly check-ins, a mentorship program, monthly professional development-focused meetings, and social programming to foster community. The program also provides critical referrals to both on- and off-campus services. Additionally, when funding permits, Horns Helping Horns offers semesterly scholarships, health and well-being services, graduation regalia through the University Co-op, scholarships for unmet needs, and financial support for study abroad opportunities and student enrichment activities. The program plays a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, professional, and personal growth.

Additionally, scholarship funds are absolutely vital for the students in the Horns Helping Horns Program, many of whom arrive on campus without a strong support network and little financial cushion. For these students, the basic costs of housing, meals, and textbooks are often just the beginning of their financial challenges. Access to additional funding is crucial for covering other essential needs, from health and well-being services to graduation regalia and study abroad opportunities. These scholarships make it possible for students to focus on their academic and personal success without the constant worry of how to make ends meet.

If you’d like to make a difference in a student’s life and help support the Horns Helping Horns Program, we invite you to consider donating today. Your contribution will directly impact students in need and provide vital resources for their academic and personal growth.

We also encourage you to participate in our upcoming Forty for 40 Campaign, happening on May 6-7, 2025. This special campaign is a great opportunity to give back and make a lasting impact. Every donation counts, and together, we can help empower students to reach their full potential.

As many of our students arrive at UT Austin with little to no familial support, consider providing items from this list to help with their transition.
