Bevo Buddy! Is a program that matches experienced student leaders with incoming freshman and transfer students who can offer guidance, insight, and personal support throughout their academic journey. This provides new students with opportunities to connect regularly with an experienced Longhorn, as well as explore the UT and Austin community!

Matched to an experience student leader (Bevo Buddy Leader) based on college, shared interests and career goals
Receive ongoing engagement from Bevo Buddy Leader through regular check-ins and individual meetings throughout the academic year
Meet other new students to foster community
Gain personal guidance in managing academic pressure, student involvement and overall well-being.
Invitations to on and off-campus events, workshops and study halls with your Bevo Buddy Leader to build a sense of belonging and community

Time Commitment:
We understand that college students have really busy schedules! There is not an exact time expectation; however, we find that the students who make the most out of this opportunity have the best experience and gain the biggest impact. Therefore, we ask that new students actively engage and communicate with their Bevo Buddy Leaders when possible. Bevo Buddy Leaders will typically reach out to students on a weekly to bi-weekly basis to check in and see how they can offer support. There are also 2-3 events per month that students can join.
Be the person you needed when you were new to UT Austin! Build relationships with new Longhorns during the Academic Year through bi-weekly check-ins and semester engagement programs.
