Various Family Orientation programs are presented depending on whether your student is admitted to the fall term, spring term or summer term. See the descriptions below to find the orientation program you should participate in.
May/June/July Family Orientation (Fall Term Admitted Students)
We encourage you to attend an on-campus Family Orientation session on the same week your student attends New Student Orientation. If you cannot attend that week, but still wish to join us, you should register for a session in which your student's college/school is participating. The one-day optional Family Orientation program aligns with the first day of each freshman session and the first day of the final transfer session.
Family Orientation session dates are listed below. Registration for all sessions will open on March 31, 2025.

Spring Family Orientation
2025 Spring Family Orientation has concluded. More information for 2026 Spring Family Orientation will be announced in Fall 2025. Spring Family Orientation is optional and will be completely virtual. The robust programming is designed to introduce you to the university, as well as resources and tools to help you help your student successfully transition to UT.
